Delhi: The Pakistan cricket team has suffered a major setback before the Champions Trophy 2025. The team’s young batsman Saim Job is out of this tournament. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed this. Saim suffered an ankle injury during the Test series on a tour of South Africa. At this time he is going through a rehab process in England.
The Pakistan team will play a tri -series against New Zealand and South Africa before the Champions Trophy to be held from 19 February to 9 March, which will begin on 8 February. PCB had declared the team for the tournament at the end of January, including the name of Saim Job. At that time it was expected that he would fit in time. However, now the board has made it clear that they will stay away from cricket for 10 weeks, of which they have passed five weeks in advance.

How was Job hurt?
During the fielding in the Cape Town Test, the ankle of Saim Job suffered an injury. He was taken out of the field on a stretcher and then sent to London for treatment. He was in great form before being injured. In the ODI series against South Africa, he scored two centuries and also scored an unbeaten 98 in T20.
So far, he has played 9 ODIs for Pakistan, out of which 515 runs have been scored at an average of 64.37. His account includes three centuries and a half -century.
