International Cricket Council i.e. ICC has got its new boss. On Sunday 1 December, former Secretary of India and veteran administrative officer Jay Shah has taken over the post of Chairman of ICC. Jay Shah had been appointed ICC Chairman about two months ago. After which now he has taken this responsibility in his hands also.

Jay Shah becomes the new chairman of ICC
On Sunday, the ICC itself informed on social media about the appointment of Jay Shah as the new chairman of the ICC. Jay Shah, who has been the most influential official in the Board of Control for Cricket in India for the last few years, will replace Greg Barclay as ICC Chairman. Greg Barclay was handling this responsibility for the last few years.
Jai Shah gave his first speech after becoming the chairman.
In his first speech after becoming the ICC Chairman, Jay Shah said, “I have the honor of assuming the role of ICC President and I am grateful for the support and confidence of the ICC Board of Directors and Members. “This is an exciting time for the game as we prepare for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games and work to make cricket even more attractive to fans around the world.”
