Delhi: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released a new promo for the Champions Trophy 2025. Indian team’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya, Pakistan’s fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi and all-rounder Shadab Khan are included in the promo of Champions Trophy starting from February 19 in Pakistan.
Apart from this, former Afghanistan captain Mohammad Nabi and England’s star wicketkeeper batsman Phil Salt are also seen in the promo of the Champions Trophy. In the promo, all five players are seen trying to take the tournament trophy, which is kept under security in a special room.
Let us tell you that the ICC Champions Trophy will start from 19th February, this event will continue till 9th March, in which 15 matches will be played. The Indian cricket team will play all its matches in Dubai.
Let us tell you that 8 teams will participate in the tournament, which are divided into two groups, Group A (Pakistan, India, New Zealand, Bangladesh) and Group B (Australia, Afghanistan, England, South Africa). Each team will play three matches in its group, and the top two teams after the group stage will advance to the semi-finals. The opening match will be played between Pakistan and New Zealand in Karachi on 19 February, while the much-awaited match between India and Pakistan will be played in Dubai on 23 February.
The first semi-final will be played in Dubai on 4th March, the second semi-final will be played in Lahore on 5th March and the final will be played in Lahore on 9th March. However, if India reaches the final then the final will be held in Dubai. The matches of the tournament will be held at places like Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Dubai.
