ICC to suspend T20 World Cup host country; discover main reason

Delhi: The Cricket Board of America (USAC), which co-condemns the T20 World Cup 2024, is now a strict eye on the International Cricket Council (ICC). According to reports, the ICC issued a 12 -month governance notice to the USAC after the World Cup. This period is being completed next month. If the USAC does not make necessary changes in its leadership in the meantime, then the suspension action can be taken on it. This decision can be taken in the next ICC meeting.

After the end of the T20 World Cup in July 2024, the ICC sent a notice to the USAC. At the same time, a generalization committee was also formed to monitor the reforms citing “administrative disability”. According to the Times of India report, this month the ICC sent a team Los Angeles where a meeting was held with the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee.

Warning to USAC is being given continuously

Some senior officers of the USAC and members of the Generalization Committee of ICC were also involved in this meeting. According to the report, a senior official said, “The circumstances have not changed despite continuous warnings.” He also added that “ICC has already made it clear that the change in leadership is no longer a matter of debate in view of the return of cricket in Los Angeles Olympics 2028.”

Of usac Some officers do not want to leave posts

The ICC team asked some USAC officials to step down. Some of these officers are ready, but some still want to remain in office. The report quoted sources as saying that the USAC has not taken any concrete decision on it so far. However, some officials are expected to resign soon.

At present, no official statement in this case has been revealed by the ICC. However, it is believed that if the situation does not change then the cricket board of America can be suspended.
