Delhi: The official social media handle of Iceland Cricket once again created a stir in the cricket world on Monday. The account, known for its sharp and innocent statements, has released a controversial team this time targeting the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, targeting the worst performing players so far. This team has been named, ‘Frauds and Scams XI of IPL 2025’.
Iceland Cricket in its post included 11 players and an impact player and wrote, “Raikjavik’s rain is present in the afternoon of our IPL 2025 frauds and scams team.”
The team consists of five players from Chennai Super Kings (CSK), while two of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and two Delhi Capitals (DC), Punjab Kings (PBKS), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have been taken.
The surprising thing is that this team also has two most expensive players in IPL history, Rishabh Pant (27 crore) and Venkatesh Iyer (23.75 crore). Pant has been appointed as the captain and wicketkeeper of the team.

Pant and Iyer’s disappointing performance
The performance of Rishabh Pant and Venkatesh Iyer in IPL 2025 so far has disappointed. KKR vice -captain Iyer has scored just 142 runs in 11 innings, with his strike rate to be 139.22 and he has scored only one half -century. At the same time, LSG captain Pant has scored only 128 runs in the same matches and his strike rate has been only 99.22.
