Delhi: The second season of Delhi Premier League (DPL) is going to start with the auction. On July 6, male players will be auctioned, while on July 7, female players will bid. This time, 10 famous IPL players will be involved in the auction, in which the name of Team India’s wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant is at the forefront.
Rishabh Pant will get a competition with young stars
Rishabh Pant is going to get a tough challenge from the young stars in the auction this time. These include players like Priyansh Arya and Digvesh Rathi in IPL 2025. Along with this, Ishant Sharma, Ayush Badoni, Harshit Rana, Himant Singh, Suyash Sharma, Mayank Yadav and Anuj Rawat will also be part of the auction.
Two new teams include
Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) also announced on 1 July that this time two new male teams have been added to DPL. Now there will be a total of eight teams. Outer Delhi team has been bought by a group headed by Savita Paints Private Limited for Rs 10.6 crore. At the same time, the New Delhi team has been bought by a group of Bhima Toling and Traffic Solutions and Crayon Advertising Limited for Rs 9.2 crore.
Six already existing teams will also be in the field
The six teams already in the league include Central Delhi Kings, East Delhi Riders, North Delhi Strikers, Old Delhi 6, South Delhi Superstars and West Delhi Lions. All these teams will now compete with new teams for DPL 2025.

All matches will be held at Arun Jaitley Stadium
All matches of the second season will once again be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. After the completion of the auction, the dates of the matches and the full schedule will be released. According to DDCA, this time the season is going to be more special and grand than before.
