In the first match of IPL 2025, RCB gave a strong performance in Kolkata: bowling and batting

Delhi: In IPL 2025, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) performed brilliantly and started with a win. RCB defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 7 wickets on the basis of excellent half -century innings of Virat Kohli (59*) and Phil Salt (56). Kolkata, batting first, gave RCB a target of 175 runs, which RCB achieved in 16.2 overs.

In this match played at Eden Gardens Stadium, Kolkata Knight Riders scored 174 runs in 20 overs at the loss of eight wickets. The strong innings of captain Ajinkya Rahane (56) and Sunil Narayan (44) brought Kolkata to a good score.

Rahane and Narayan shared a brilliant partnership of 103 runs for the second wicket. Rahane completed the first half -century of IPL 2025 by hitting just 21 balls. He scored 56 runs from 31 balls, including six fours and four sixes. Narayan also gave a good basis to the team by scoring 44 runs off 26 balls.

Salt and Kohli’s partnership
