Delhi: Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 is going to start from November 22, but before that the Indian team played a practice match to strengthen its preparations. KL Rahul was injured and retired hurt during India vs India A match. However, there is relief news for Indian fans that Rahul has started practicing in the nets five days before the Perth Test.
‘Why are you not coming to Pakistan?’, Suryakumar Yadav gave a befitting reply to fan’s question
Rahul did not come on the field after getting injured on the second day, but on the third day he worked on his fitness by sweating in the nets. Since captain Rohit Sharma has recently become a father for the second time and may miss the first Test, Rahul can be seen opening the innings with opener Yashasvi Jaiswal.
On the other hand, Shubman Gill’s injury has become a matter of concern for Team India. His left thumb was injured while fielding. According to PTI report, Gill’s thumb is fractured, due to which it seems difficult for him to play in the first Test.
If Gill is not fit, then Abhimanyu Easwaran or Devdutt Padikkal may get a chance to debut in his place. Rahul’s return has brought relief to the team, but Gill’s absence may affect the team combination.
