Khalil Ahmed returned to India
Khalil Ahmed played two first class matches for Essex and took a total of four wickets. Essex has expressed his gratitude for his contribution, respecting Khalil’s decision in the press release. Khalil had signed an agreement with the club for two months, in which six first class and 10 List A were to play. However, he played only two matches.
Earlier, Khalil has also played against England Lions for India A, where he took four wickets while bowling brilliantly. Only then was he associated with the Essex Club.

Khalil’s international career
Khalil Ahmed has played 11 ODIs and 18 T20 matches for India so far. He has taken 15 wickets in ODIs and 16 in T20. He started his international career in 2018 and played the last ODI in 2019.
