Delhi: Indian cricket selectors have announced their 15-member team for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 to be hosted by Pakistan from February 19. India captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Gautam Gambhir announced the squad during the press conference.

This time the Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan and Dubai under the ‘hybrid model’. The first match of the tournament will be played between host Pakistan and New Zealand on 19 February in Karachi. At the same time, the Indian team will play its first match against Bangladesh on 20 February.

A total of 8 teams will participate in this ICC 50 over tournament and 15 matches will be played. The teams have been divided into two groups. New Zealand and Bangladesh have been included in Group A along with India and Pakistan.

Whereas, Group B will have teams from South Africa, Australia, Afghanistan and England. Each team will play 3-3 matches in its group. The top 2 teams of the group will make it to the semi-finals. The first semi-final will be played in Dubai and the second in Lahore. After this the final match will take place. The team reaching the final will play a total of 5 matches.

All 15 matches of ICC CT will be played at 4 venues, out of which 3 venues will be in Pakistan and one venue will be in Dubai. The Indian team will play all its matches in Dubai. If the Indian team qualifies, the final will also be held in Dubai, otherwise the title match will be played in Lahore on March 9.

A reserve day has also been kept for the semi-finals and final. The first semi-final will be held in Dubai and the second in Lahore. A total of 10 matches will be played across three venues in Pakistan – Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi, including one semi-final.
