Delhi: In the draft of Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) 2025, India’s batsman Jemima Rodrigues has once again retained his team. A total of 8 teams chose 23 international players in the draft on Thursday.
Cricket Australia said that Jemima Rodrigues is very popular among the fans of Brisbane. Along with them, West Indies’ Chinell Henry and South Africa’s Nadin de Clarke have also got a place in the team of Brisbane Heat.

This time 15 Indian women players took part in the draft for the 10th season of WBBL. But, till now only Jemima Rodrigues has been chosen by a team.

- Adelaide Strikers Choiced England spinner Sophie Eclastone, wicketkeeper Tammy Buomont and South Africa’s Laura Wulavart.
- Melbourne stars Includes England’s Amy Jones and Danny Gibson. This team had earlier shown interest in Jemima, but later signed the Marizan Cap of South Africa.
- Perth Scormers Has included New Zealand’s Sophie Divine, England’s page Skolfield and South Africa’s Close Trean in the team.
- Hobart Hurricanes Has given England captain Natalie Cyrie-Brant, Danny Wet and Lesi Smith a place in their team.
- Melbourne Renegades Signed West Indies’ Diandra Dotin and England’s Ellis Capsi.
This is another big opportunity for Jemima Rodrigues to prove herself with her performance in WBBL. Getting him a chance again in Brisbane Heat is the result of his previous performance and popularity.
