Delhi: Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar has raised questions on the coaching staff of the Indian cricket team. He has demanded an investigation into the role of head coach Gautam Gambhir, assistant coach Abhishek Nair and Ryan ten Doeschate, as Indian batsmen are getting out in the same manner. According to Manjrekar, the coaching staff is not finding solutions to the technical problems of the batsmen. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and other batsmen are constantly struggling. At the same time, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant have also failed to score runs in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Sanjay Manjrekar targeted the management of Team India

Taking aim at the management and batting coach of Team India, Sanjay Manjrekar wrote on his X account, “I think the time has come to examine the role of the batting coach in the Indian team. Why have technical issues with some Indian batsmen remained unresolved for so long?” Manjrekar has also tagged BCCI in this tweet.

Batsmen are getting out in the same way

At present there is no batting coach of the Indian team. Gautam Gambhir is the head coach, while Abhishek Nair and Ryan ten Doeschate are his assistant coaches. In such a situation, according to Manjrekar, questions are being raised on the role of these three. Especially Virat Kohli is continuously getting out on outside balls, Rohit Sharma is losing wickets on inbound balls, and Shubman Gill is also getting out in the same pattern. Yashasvi Jaiswal is getting out after playing bad shots, while Rishabh Pant is not getting runs from his bat.

No century was scored after the first match

So far, only two centuries have been scored for India in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and both came in the same innings in Perth. After this, no batsman scored even a half-century in Adelaide, and the situation was similar in India’s first innings in Perth also. Now in the third match being played in Brisbane, India has lost four wickets, due to which questions are naturally raised.
