Delhi: One of the most surprising names in the list of 1574 players who have registered for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 auction is that of England’s great fast bowler James Anderson. At the age of 42, he has decided to participate in this auction, whereas in July he had retired from international cricket after taking 704 Test wickets. According to reports, Anderson has listed himself at a base price of Rs 1.25 crore.

It is worth noting that Anderson has not participated in any global franchise T20 league so far and his last T20 match was for Lancashire in 2014. Overall, the right-arm pacer has played 44 T20 matches, 19 of which were for England. During this period he took 41 wickets.
