Nehra’s contract with the franchise expired last year.
Before the start of IPL 2025, a big news related to Gujarat Titans (GT) team is coming out. Let us tell you that for the upcoming IPL season, the team’s head coaches Ashish Nehra and Vikram Solanki will continue in their respective roles.
It is noteworthy that Nehra’s contract with the franchise had ended at the end of IPL last year. After this, some media reports had claimed that Nehra may leave the team, but now if a source associated with Torrent Pharma is to be believed, Nehra and Solanki will continue in their respective roles with the team.
It is noteworthy that Torrent Pharma, doing business in Ahmedabad, has bought the majority stake in Gujarat Titans franchise. So now Nehra and Solanki will remain with the team in the upcoming IPL season. If we look at Nehra’s journey with the team as head coach, under his coaching the team had created history by winning its very first IPL 2022 season.
After this, GT was the runner-up in the 2023 IPL team, but after the departure of Hardik Pandya from the team in IPL 2024, the team could not show anything special. New captain Shubman Gill had failed to take the team to the playoffs. However, now it will be worth watching how the one-time champion Gujarat Titans is going to perform in the upcoming season.
