Delhi: Gujarat Titans fast bowler Ishant Sharma has been given a big punishment by BCCI. After the match played against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Ishant was fined 25 percent of the match fee. BCCI found Ishant Sharma guilty under Article 2.2. Ishant accepted his crime and also accepted the decision of the match referee. In a statement released by the IPL, it was told that Ishant has accepted the offense of Level 1 under Article 2.2. For this violation of the code of conduct, the decision of the match referee is final and it is necessary to accept it.

Article 2.2 covers incidents where the player gets angry and damages something. For example, if a player gets angry and hits the advertising board with his bat or damages the dressing room door, then it is considered a crime.

Ishant Sharma’s poor performance
Ishant Sharma’s performance was not good in this match. He conceded 53 runs in 4 overs, but could not take any wickets. Despite this, the team of Gujarat Titans won the match.
Sunrisers Hyderabad performance
