The Board of Control for Cricket in India has implemented new rules regarding the players’ vegetables in the Indian Premier League. This is allowed to sign a temporary replacement under special circumstances under the new rules that include wicketkeepers and players who may be injured by the end of the season.

Under the rule, no franchise can sign a player for a few matches and then he cannot even release them. However, the BCCI has made a special new rule for the wicketkeeper. If a team’s registered wicketkeeper is unavailable for a match, the franchise can request a short -term replacement.

This is new rules:

According to Section 6.1, replacement players will not be allowed to cover the partial unavailability of a player during the season unless one of the following is applied:

(A) When all the wicketkeepers are available for a match in a registered squad of a franchise, that franchise should request the BCCI for special discounts. Under such circumstances, the BCCI will have a positive view on the request to allow a short-term replacement wicketkeeper to bring the wicketkeeper to the registered squad, until one of the registered squad is not available to play a special wicketkeeper, the point at which he will be unable to play for the short-term replacement wicketkeeper.

(B) A player who suffers from the season ending the season can be replaced,

Even if he has played a league match during that season, if all the following criteria are completed.

The said injury or disease occurs during or before the 12th league match of the team concerned.

A doctor nominated by the BCCI confirms that the injury or disease is going to end the season (that is, it means that the player will not fit for the match until the end of the season (including the playoffs));

Without injury or illness, the player would be available for all the remaining matches of the season; And as a result of injury or illness, the player will give up the remaining league matches of that season.

NB: In such a situation, which the player has been replaced, he cannot play again for a franchise in any match during the respective season.

Another new rule applied

A new system has been named registered player Pool (RApp). The franchise can only sign replacement players from this pool, including players who are sold without the IPL auction and not withdrawn from the process.

The replacement player’s fee may not exceed the player he is replacing. The replacement salary will not be counted in the team’s salary cap, but if the contract is ahead of the next season, it will be included in the next year’s cap. In addition, teams will have to take the approval of the board before signing any replacement player.
