Former South African fast bowler Dale Steyn will not be seen in the dugout of Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2025 season. Dale Steyn has left the team even before the mega auction. Dale Steyn was the bowling coach of SRH, but now he can be seen with some other franchise. However, he has made it clear that he will remain in the coaching staff of Sunrisers Eastern Cape, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s sister franchise in the SA20 League.

Let us tell you that earlier this year, Dale Steyn was not available for IPL 2024 due to personal reasons. In such a situation, SRH had appointed former New Zealand cricketer James Franklin as its bowling coach to work with head coach Daniel Vettori. Dale Steyn was a part of three franchises during his playing days.
Apart from Deccan Chargers and Gujarat Lions (defunct), he also represented Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He was last seen playing IPL in 2020 and then in 2022, he was made the bowling coach of SRH. Sunrisers Hyderabad has so far won its only title in IPL 2016.
In the final of IPL 2024, SRH lost to Kolkata Knight Riders i.e. KKR. This team was runner up in 2018 and since then this was their first IPL final. Looking at the team’s performance last year, it is believed that the franchise may retain Daniel Vettori and Franklin in the coaching staff.
