Delhi: The Delhi Capitals (DC) has had to make a big change in his playing XI before the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 against the Mumbai Indians (Mi), as DC vice -captain and opener Faf du Plessis is not part of the match. This match is being played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Dilley.
During the toss, Akshar Patel confirmed that 40 -year -old Faf was out due to injury. However, the captain of the Delhi team did not say who would play their place and said that they will come down with the playing XI of the match played last time and the impact player will be decided later.
This is the second time this season, when Faf is out of a match due to injury. Earlier, he did not even play against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Chepock, this match was won by Delhi by 25 runs. In that match, KL Rahul had opened instead of Faf and can be seen in today’s match.
DC bought Faf for Rs 2 crore in a mega auction of 2025. He has scored 81 runs in three innings so far.
Significantly, the capitals have made a great start of the season and remain undefeated with four consecutive wins. He is the only team of the tournament that has not lost a single match yet.
