Delhi: Amid reports of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 playoffs and the finals from Kolkata, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has taken a unique step. Cab sought information about the season of June 3 from the regional Meteorological Department of Kolkata. In the report given by the Meteorological Department to BCCI, it has been clearly said that the correct information about the season of June can not be given so soon. According to him, accurate forecast can be given only around 25 May.

Not only this, Cab also contacted the Indian Meteorological Department of Delhi. The same answer was received from there and the matter was then handed over to the regional office of Kolkata. All these reports have now been sent to BCCI.
CAB sources say that it would not be right to remove the match from Kolkata only on the estimate of the weather. He hopes that BCCI will take the right decision by looking at these documents.
However, the playoffs and finals of the final have not been officially announced yet, but Cab still expects. He says, “We have done all the preparations well. It is difficult to guess the weather in advance and we have submitted all government documents about it.”
Now it remains to be seen what the BCCI decides. If Kolkata does not get these big matches, CAB can be compensated by giving any important match for World T20 to be held in 2026, such as semi -finals or finals.
