Delhi: Delhi Capitals (DC) has announced its new captain for IPL (IPL 2025). The team has appointed Akshar Patel as captain in place of KL Rahul, who was purchased for Rs 14 crore. After this big announcement, Indian batsman KL Rahul gave his response in a special way.
Akshar Patel, KL Rahul and Faf du Plessis were being included in the possible contenders for the captaincy of Delhi Capitals. But the franchise gave him this important responsibility, expressing confidence in the letter. Akshar has taken this post from Rishabh Pant, who has now become a part of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

Akshar Patel is a part of Delhi Capitals since 2019. He started his IPL career with Mumbai Indians in 2013, but did not get a chance to play. After this, in 2014, he joined Punjab Kings and remained part of the team till 2018. Since 2019, Delhi has retained him continuously.
IPL 2025 schedule of Delhi Capitals
The IPL 2025 will begin with March 22, while Delhi Capitals will play their first match against Lucknow Super Giants on 24 March. At the same time, Delhi’s team will play their first domestic match against Mumbai Indians at Arun Jaitley Stadium.
