KKR’s upper hand on home ground is heavy
Everyone was impressed by the way Kolkata Knight Riders performed in IPL 2024 and defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in the title match, everyone was impressed by everyone. The team led by Shreyas Iyer defeated SRH in the first qualifier 1. Then in the final, the IPL trophy was named for the third time on the basis of Mitchell Starc’s brilliant bowling. However, the franchise has made Ajinkya Rahane its captain for the upcoming season and Shreyas Iyer is no longer a part of the team.
Significantly, last season KKR won 9 of its 14 matches in the league stage and topped the points table. At the same time, there was defeat in 3 matches and two matches were drawn. However, when it comes to overall performance at its home ground, the team has played a total of 105 matches. Out of this, KKR won 61 matches and has lost in 44.
In the upcoming season, Kolkata has to play a total of seven matches at his home ground and looks heavy on the records. In such a situation, it can be said that once again the Kolkata team would like to defend the title by retaining their own at home.

There have also been changes in the support staff. Dwayne Bravo has joined as a mentor in place of Gautam Gambhir. The assistant coach is Otis Gibson.
At the same time, the franchise has suffered a major setback before the tournament starts. Umran Malik has been out of the entire season due to injury and has been replaced by Chetan Sakaria as a replacement.
