The mega auction of IPL 2025 will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Now only a short time is left for the mega auction of IPL 2025 Mega Auction to start. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the complete timeline and guidelines for this mega auction. It has been told how the players will be bid in the two-day mega auction, how many and which players will be bid on the first day.
Talking about the first day, i.e. today (November 24), a total of 84 players for the first 12 sets will be bid. IPL auction is being organized in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, which will start at 1 pm according to the local time there and if we talk about India, it will start at 3:30 pm. Meanwhile, BCCI has given some important information regarding Right to Match (RTM).
According to the guidelines issued by BCCI, ‘The amount to increase the RTM bid can be any amount, and it does not have to be a rounded figure.’ This is a new rule regarding RTM. In the IPL mega auction, 10 franchise teams will bid on the players according to their purse. There are a total of 14 RTMM cards available across the 10 franchise teams.
IPL 2025 Mega Auction Day 1 Full Schedule
Day 1: Auction session
1- Bidding will be held on marquee list players (from 3:30 pm to 5 pm, Indian time)
2- Lunch break (5 pm to 5:45 pm, Indian time)
3- Bidding will be held on capped batsmen, all-rounders and wicketkeepers.
4- 15 minute break
5- Bid on capped bowler
6- 10 minute break
7- Uncapped Players Set, which will include seven players. (The rest of the process will take place from 5:45 pm to 10:30 pm, according to Indian time)
