IPL 2025 Mega Auction Day-2 Summary: The mega auction ongoing in Jeddah city of Saudi Arabia for the 18th season of IPL ended today on November 25 after the second day. Even today in the auction, 10 teams spent a lot of money on some players.

While on the first day of the auction, players like Rishabh Pant, Venkatesh Iyer and Shreyas Iyer made new records, on the second day of the auction many players won silver, while many players did not find any buyer. On the second day of the mega auction, England cricket team’s fast bowler Joffra Archer was bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 12.50 crore. Archer was one of the few expensive players sold on the second day of the auction.

Apart from this, even after the second day of auction, David Warner, Jonny Bairstow, Kane Williamson, Daryl Mitchell, Shardul Thakur, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Adil Rashid, Finn Allen, Ben Decatur, Riley Rousseau, Steve Smith, Mustafizur Rahman, Naveen Ul Haq, Piyush Chawla, Umesh Yadav, Alzarri Joseph, Jason Holder, Akil Hussain and Sam Players like Billings were disappointed.

So in the last round of the second day of the auction, young Vaibhav Suryavanshi with a base price of Rs 30 lakh became a millionaire. There was a fierce battle between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals to buy Vaibhav. But in the end Rajasthan won and included him in the team by bidding Rs 1.10 crore.

Apart from this, all-rounder Deepak Hooda was included in the team by Chennai Super Kings by paying Rs 1.70 crore, while experienced Ajinkya Rahane, who remained unsold in the first round, was bought by KKR for the base price of Rs 1.50 crore.

So on the first day of the auction, RCB, which was facing criticism due to its poor strategy, added some big players. RCB bought experienced fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who had a base price of Rs 2 crore, for Rs 10.75 crore. Apart from this, big players like Krunal Pandya, Tim David, Devdutt Padikkal, Nuwan Thushara, Romario Shepherd and Lungi Ngidi were also included in the team.

So if we tell you the account of both the days of the auction, 182 players were bought by 10 teams together, out of which 62 were foreign players. All the teams together used a total of 8 Right to Match cards (RTM). Also, the franchises spent Rs 639.15 crore to buy these players. Also, a total of 395 players including domestic and foreign players did not find any buyer.
