Delhi: In the 50th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 being played at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Ryan Parag decided to bowl first after winning the toss. But Mumbai Indians (Mi) batsmen proved this decision wrong and scored a big score of 217 runs for 2 wickets in 20 overs.
Mumbai’s top order demonstration
All the top four batsmen of Mumbai Indians batted brilliantly and scored more than 40 runs and gave the team a strong start.
Wicketkeeper batsman Ryan Ricelton played a fast innings of 61 runs in 38 balls, including 7 fours and 3 sixes. Rohit Sharma also scored 53 runs from 36 balls while playing aggressively.
After this, Suryakumar Yadav and captain Hardik Pandya batted stormy in the final overs and scored an unbeaten 48-48 runs from 23 balls and took the team’s score to 200.
Rajasthan’s bowling faded
No bowler was more effective for Rajasthan Royals. Mahish Toricha got 1 wicket but took 47 runs in 4 overs. Captain Ryan Parag also took 1 wicket but he also had trouble saving runs. Bowlers like Joffra Archer, Fazalhak Farooqui and Akash Madhwal also proved to be very expensive.
