Delhi: Mumbai Indians (Mi) head coach Mahela Jayawardene has praised young bowler Ashwani Kumar. While performing brilliantly in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Ashwani has taken 9 wickets in 6 matches at an average of 19.66 so far. In the eliminator match against Gujarat Titans (GT), he took 1 wicket for just 28 runs in 3.3 overs and dismissed Shahrukh Khan.
Debut is a blast in the match itself
Ashwani made his debut against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) this season and took 4 wickets for 24 runs in 3 overs. He also got the title of ‘Player of the Match’ for this great performance. His confidence and bowling are being praised everywhere.
