Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Rajat Patidar achieved a special achievement on Thursday (May 29). After MS Dhoni, Anil Kumble, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya, he has become the fifth Indian to reach his team to the finals as soon as he became captain in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Under the captaincy of Patidar, RCB defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 8 wickets in the first qualifier of IPL 2025 and made it to the finals. This match was played at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium.
Rajat Patidar won the toss and invited Punjab Kings to bat first. Under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer, Punjab team could score 101 runs in just 14.1 overs. In response, RCB achieved this easy target by losing two wickets in just 10 overs.
