Delhi: In the 42nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), while performing tremendous batting, scored a big score of 205 runs against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. At the beginning of the match, Rajasthan Royals captain Ryan Parag had decided to bowl first after winning the toss, but the RCB batsmen proved the decision wrong.

Banging innings of Kohli and Padikal

For RCB, opener batsman Virat Kohli continued a brilliant form and played a fast innings of 70 runs in 42 balls, including 8 fours and 2 skyscraper sixes. Along with him, Devdutt Padikkal also scored 50 runs off 27 balls while batting amazing. The pair firmly led the team towards the big score.

Opener Philip Soult started the innings in a fast way and was dismissed for 26 runs. After he was dismissed, Virat Kohli, along with Padikkal, took over the innings and maintained the run pace in the middle overs.

Finishing of Jitesh Sharma and Tim David

In the final overs of the innings, Jitesh Sharma scored an unbeaten 20 in just 10 balls, while Tim David also added 23 runs in 15 balls to bring the score to 200. At one time it seemed that the team could score 220 runs, but the Rajasthan bowlers indicated a return to the match by bowling brilliantly in the last over.

Rajasthan’s bowling faded

For Rajasthan, Sandeep Sharma took 2 wickets while bowling the best. Jofra Archer and Vanindu Hasranga also got 1-1 success, but no bowler appeared effective in front of RCB’s aggressive batting.
