Delhi: Mumbai Indians (Mi) star opener Rohit Sharma once again was dismissed cheaply at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday against Delhi Capitals (DC). The right -handed batsman scored 18 runs in 12 balls and then Vipraj Nigam was lbw out. With this, his poor form continued in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, as he could not cross the 20 -run figure once again.
Rohit took a single off his first two balls, after which he took an aggressive attitude against Mitchell Starc and scored good runs in his over, hit two fours and a six. He had reached 16 runs in just 6 balls and it seemed that the former MI captain had returned to the form. But, after this he could add only two runs off the next 6 balls and finally was out in an attempt to sweep spinner Vipraj.
Let us know that Rohit has scored more than fifty runs in the last 13 innings of IPL, due to which he is constantly facing criticism. He started this season with Duck for four balls against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), which was the 18th of his IPL career. After this, he scored 8 and 13 runs in the next two matches respectively.
