Delhi: Gujarat Titans (GT) opener Sai Sudarshan on Friday obtained a big milestone of his T20 career in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. When he completed 32 runs in this match, he became a batsman to score 2000 runs in T20 format.
Become the second fastest batsman
Sai Sudarshan has now become the second fastest batsman in the world to score 2000 runs in T20 cricket. Faster than him is only Sean Marsh of Australia, who achieved this place in 52 innings. Sudarshan completed this feat in his 54th innings.
Sachin Tendulkar’s record broken
With this achievement, Sai Sudarshan also broke the record of India’s legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar. Tendulkar scored 2000 T20 runs in 59 innings, while Sai touched the figure in only 54 innings.

Sudarshan completed 1000 runs of his T20 career while playing against Mumbai Indians last season. He had achieved this place in the 32nd innings, and he became the fourth fastest Indian after Devdutt Padikkal (25 innings), Rohan Kadam (27) and Sachin (31).
