IPL 2025: Sean Pollock warned Virat and Gill to keep mum about the season’s top batsman

Delhi: The 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is in full enthusiasm. Players like Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Jose Butler and Sai Sudarshan are performing brilliantly. Half the journey of the tournament is over and every team is moving fast in the playoff race.

Shaun Pollock chose the best batsman

Former South African all -rounder Sean Pollock has named his favorite batsman in IPL 2025. The shocking thing is that he has considered Virat Kohli or Shubman Gill but not the young opener of Gujarat Titans Sai Sudarshan as the best batsman this season.

Sudarshan’s performance so far

23 -year -old Sai Sudarshan has scored 417 runs in 9 matches at an average of 52.12 so far this season. He has scored five half -centuries and is currently on top of the list of most runs scorers. He also has an orange cap.

Favorite selection of Pollock

In a video shared by Cricbuzz, Pollock appeared in a fun challenge, where he had to choose one of many players. The beginning started with Shreyas Iyer and Yashasvi Jaiswal, in which Polak chose Yashasvi. After this, Mitchell also gave priority to Yashasvi as compared to Marsh.

Travel from Puran to Butler

After this, Pollock chose Nicholas Puran in place of Yashasvi and then left Puran better, leaving Rohit Sharma behind. Going forward, he chose Jose Butler in place of Puran and then left Butler, leaving big names like Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav.

Finally Sudarshan chose above Butler

Finally, when the election between Sai Sudarshan and Jose Butler came, Pollock chose left -handed batsman Sudarshan. He said that Sudarshan’s performance in this season has been the most effective and he is the best batsman till now.

Sudarshan will be seen on the field against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Monday, April 28.

Since making IPL debut in 2022, Sudhashan has scored 1,451 runs in 33 matches, with a great average of 48.37 and strike rate 142.67, including a century and 11 half -centuries.
