Delhi: The Gujarat Titans (GT) team has made it to the playoffs with a great performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The biggest reason behind this success has been the tremendous rhythm of the opening pair of captain Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan.
Sudarshan has scored 617 runs at an average of 56.09 and a strike rate of 157, while Gill has added 601 runs at an average of 60.1 and a strike rate of 155.7. Together, both of them have scored 839 runs in 12 innings.
Gill said in Jiohotstar’s ‘Gen Bold’ show, “Our batting is not the same, but left-right combination helps a lot. The race between the two of us is very good and we are players who like to beat the opposition team, especially bowlers cleverly. Regarding GT head coach Ashish Nehra, Gill said, “When the Gujarat Titans was the first time the team was formed, Nehra sir had a clear vision-he knew how to make the team and how to decide the roles of the players. He has a brilliant dialogue with the players. There is always a scope of improvement, and the way he works with every player, especially with every player-especially the bowlers- Is.”
