Delhi: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batting coach has appreciated Chennai star batsmen Rachin Ravindra and Deepak Hooda, who adopted a positive attitude despite being out of their team during IPL 2025. Rachin was not selected in the team for the last match of CSK against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), while Deepak Hooda is also not able to play in the team continuously, he has played only four matches out of 9 matches so far.
Worked on your game
Coach Hussey said that Rachin and Hooda never adopted a negative attitude despite being out of their team. Both of them paid full attention to their training and tried to improve their game. Hussey praised Deepak Hooda and said, “I really express my heartfelt gratitude to these two players. They must have been disappointed, but they never complained about being out of the team. They are constantly working on their game and are happy for new players.”
Rachin’s approach is also commendable
Hussey further explained that Rachin Ravindra also took his position with a sportsmanship. “Rachin said that he had two ways, either he would be angry at being out of the team, or he used this time to improve his game. Rachin used this time to work on new shots.”
Ever watching Ravindra’s performance
Rachin Ravindra was dropped from the team for the final match after scoring 191 runs in 8 matches at an average of 27.28. In his place, CSK gave Ayush Mahatre and Sheikh Rashid a chance. Now it has to be seen whether the CSK maintains these young batsmen against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the upcoming match.
The atmosphere of positivity within the team
Rachin and Hooda’s positive attitude is not only improving their game, but it is also maintaining a positive atmosphere within the team. This mentality is very important in a big tournament like IPL and this trend of both players can prove to be a big advantage for CSK.
