IPL 2025 Update: BCCI asked 9 franchisees to gather players by May 13.

The BCCI is allegedly trying to end the entire season by 25 May amid the possibility of resumption of IPL 2025. For this, the board is planning double headers for the remaining matches.

Along with this, all the franchisees except Punjab Kings have been asked to return to their respective venue by Tuesday 13 May. The BCCI may announce a new schedule to complete the 18th edition of the tournament as soon as possible.

According to the report, all the franchisees have been asked to inform foreign players and associate staff to return. Let us know that foreign players immediately left for their respective countries after the tournament was postponed on Friday 9 May due to tension between India and Pakistan.

A BCCI source told the Indian Express on the condition of anonymity, “All franchisees have been asked to inform their team to report on their respective destinations by Tuesday. Punjab will have a neutral site, so their destination is yet to be confirmed. The board is planning to keep a more double header so that they can finish the IPL by the scheduled date.

Earlier, according to the Indian Express, IPL chairman Arun Dhumal said, ‘The ceasefire has just been announced. Now we are exploring the possibilities of starting the IPL again. If it has to be started immediately… then we have to work on the dates of the venue and everything else. Now we will talk to all the stakeholders, including the team owners, broadcasters and all the people involved, and find a way to move forward. The most important thing is that we have to consult the government.
