IPL 2025 Mega Auction is taking place on 24th and 25th November in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi was the youngest player to enter the auction in IPL history. Rajasthan Royals have included him in their team by making a bid of Rs 1.10 crore. Vaibhav has become the youngest player to be a part of IPL.

There was a fierce battle between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals to buy Vaibhav Suryavanshi in the IPL 2025 mega auction. But in the end Rajasthan won and included him in the team. Let us tell you, the base price of the 13 year old young player was Rs 30 lakh.

Born in Bihar

According to media reports, Vaibhav Suryavanshi was born on 27 March 2011 in Bihar. He started playing cricket at the age of 7. His father had installed a net for practice at home. Vaibhav then took admission in the Cricket Academy of Samastipur and after this he took training from Manish Ojha at the Jesus Academy in Patna.

Debut in first-class cricket against Mumbai in January 2024

Vaibhav made his debut in first-class cricket in January this year against Mumbai, where he scored 31 runs in 2 innings. He also became the second youngest player to play for Bihar in Ranji Trophy. He has scored 100 runs in 10 innings of 5 matches for Bihar, his highest score is 41 runs.

Scored a century in 58 balls against Australia

Recently, in the Under-19 Test matches against Australia, Vaibhav scored a century in 58 balls, which is the fastest century in the history of India’s Under-19 cricket. He had scored 104 runs in the first innings of the first Test against Australia, on the basis of which India won.
