Is ‘Anaban’ part of Delhi Capitals team? Akshar Patel shocked by KL Rahul’s availability.

Delhi: Delhi Capitals (DC) captain Akshar Patel is not sure whether KL Rahul will be available for the first match of IPL 2025 against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on March 24. According to reports, Rahul will not be able to participate in the opening matches of the tournament for personal reasons.

Rahul bought Rahul for 14 crores

This time in the Mega auction of IPL 2025, Delhi Capitals spent Rs 14 crore and included Rahul in his team. After IPL 2024, Lucknow Super Giants released him. Now, Delhi captain Akshar Patel said that the team does not even know whether Rahul will play against Lucknow or not.

Akshar Patel’s statement

Akshar Patel said before the match, “He has joined the team, but we do not know whether he is available to play or not. So far we have no information about it.”

Rahul’s last match

Rahul’s last cricket match was in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, where India won the title by defeating New Zealand. Subsequently, Rahul decided to train with Abhishek Nair, assistant coach of Team India in Mumbai instead of joining Delhi Capitals on 22 March.
