In this match, Bengal fast bowler Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal bowled amazingly. He took 6 wickets for just 46 runs. Apart from him, Mukesh Kumar and Mohammad Kaif took 2-2 wickets. By the end of the day’s play, Bengal had scored 10 runs for 1 wicket.

Haryana had a good start. Opener Lakshya Dalal (21) and captain Ankit Kumar (57) made a partnership of 81 runs for the first wicket. But, after this Suraj Jaiswal did wonders. He first broke this partnership by dismissing Ankit Kumar. After this, he also sent Himanshu Rana (4), Rohit Sharma (22), Jayant Yadav (6), Anshul Kamboj (2) and Anuj Thakral (0) to the pavilion. His 6 wickets for 46 runs in this match is the best performance of his career. Before this, his best performance was 6 wickets for 146 runs.
25-year-old Suraj Jaiswal made his Ranji Trophy debut for Bengal last season. Before this match, he had taken 41 wickets in 10 first class matches.
