‘We don’t point fingers at each other’

Bumrah took six important wickets for the Indian team in Gabba. However, despite his tremendous bowling, Bumrah has given priority to the collective performance of the team. He said after the day’s play, “We as a team do not point fingers at each other whether you should do this or that. Our bowling unit is going through a phase of change. I am helping them. They will get better, it is a journey.”

‘Everyone needs improvement’

The fast bowler further said, “We have 11 players. I don’t look at it as I have to do everything. New team, it’s a journey. Everyone needs to understand and improve their game. It’s part of the process.”

Bumrah supporting Siraj

After Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj is the most experienced in the Indian fast bowling attack, but his performance has been mixed in this series. Bumrah supported Siraj and said, “We talk to each other. He performed well in this match, although he also had a minor injury. Despite this, he continued bowling continuously. It’s this fighting spirit that the team loves. There are some days when you get wickets and sometimes not. I have already told him that he is in good mental condition and his attitude is excellent.”

Bumrah is playing the role of a guide in the new beginning of the Indian bowling unit. His experience and positive attitude towards the team is proving inspiring for new bowlers.
