Delhi: India performed brilliantly in the first Test match played in Perth and defeated Australia by 295 runs. Despite the bad start, the team made a strong comeback. Jasprit Bumrah did wonders in bowling and recorded figures of 3/42 and 5/30 and was adjudged ‘Player of the Match’. With this victory, India took a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.

AUS vs IND: Mitchell Johnson warned Australia, reprimanded Yashasvi for being sledged

Former England fast bowler Steven Finn praised Bumrah and said that he is one of the best players in the world. He said, “Jaiswal scored a brilliant 161 runs, but Bumrah’s performance was worth watching. He is the best player in the world, there is no one like him at the moment.”

‘Jasprit Bumrah is a joke’

Finn said, “Honestly, it’s just a joke. You see him bowling and you think I am happy that I don’t have to tie pads. He is such a bowler looking at whom I feel that I should not need to bat.”

Describing India’s victory as special, Finn said, “It is not easy to win in Perth. Although, this is not WACA, but a new stadium, still it is a big deal to win against Australia there. It was a brave performance for India.”
