Bumrah replied to those who question their fitness and said, “People make news to woo the audience. I think this helps them to earn money. If I am able to help them in this, I have no problem. But, the most important thing for me is that I give my best for the team.”
He was rested in the Edgbaston Test. Captain Shubman Gill had said that this decision was taken keeping in mind the workload of Bumrah.
