Delhi: World’s number 1 Test bowler Jasprit Bumrah is once again ready to test himself in England, as India will face the British in the five -match Test series. The tour will begin with the first Test match to be played on 20 June in the headingley of Leeds.
Bumrah, while talking to former Australia captain Michael Clarke on Beyond23 Cricket YouTube channel, said, “Playing in England is always a different challenge. I always love bowling with a Duke ball.”
He further said, “But I don’t know how much the Duke ball is swinging at this time, because it keeps on changing. But the weather, swinging conditions… and when the ball softens, it becomes a new challenge, so I am always excited to play in England.”
Bumrah, who has already performed impressively under the circumstances of England, considers Duke ball an important aspect in the series. However, he also said that after the ball is soft, maintaining control for the bowlers will be the biggest challenge.
Right -handed pace said, “They (England) are playing an interesting style cricket, which is a bit strange for me, because I do not understand it completely, but as a bowling unit we always believe that when the batsmen become very aggressive, any day any bowler can stop them and take a wicket.”
