Jemima Rodriguez, DC player: Trophy possession awaits in WPL 2025.

The third season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) begins on 14 February. The first match will be played in Baroda between defending champions Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat giants. The Delhi Capitals team will start their campaign against Mumbai Indians on 15 February.

Delhi Capitals have been excellent in the first two seasons of the league, the team reached the finals but both times the trophy could not name.

In the upcoming season, the team would like to capture the trophy by showing brilliant game. The team is currently preparing for the upcoming season at the pre-season camp in Pune. Meanwhile, star batsman Jemima Rodriguez talked about the team’s preparations.

Jemima Rodriguez’s statement about preparations for the upcoming WPL season

Jemima Rodriguez told,

“We have been very good and consistent in the last two seasons as a team. Of course, this is a final, about which I am sure we will cross it, and will capture the trophy, but we are doing the right things. There are few days when you cannot control the result. We are working hard as a DC unit and will continue to play to win, ”

Jemima said while talking about her preparations,

“My preparation is very simple. Whatever I have to face in the match, I will try to bring those circumstances into practice, whether it is to play aggressively or to handle the innings from one end. It also has a lot of power-touching as it is T20. So I use heavy balls that help me to rotate my bat faster and get more power. ”

How is Jemima’s bond with Meg Lanning

Jemima said while talking about her bond with Delhi Capitals captain Meg Lanning,

“I remember before WPL, we played with Australia in the Worldd Cup semi -finals, and I saw him on the field. She is incredibly competitive with an aggressive mentality, she always tries to pursue the game and be positive. The approach put me in suspicion whether it would be right, but when we finally talked after the WPL started, I realized that he was very humble and sociable. I liked it very much, and I realized that she could not always express it, but on the field, her mindset is completely aggressive and leading the team. ”
