Delhi: The situation is continuously getting worse for India’s star female cricketer Jemimah Rodrigues. Jemima, who became the target of critics after her poor performance in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, has now suffered another setback. Khar Gymkhana, one of the oldest clubs in Mumbai, has canceled his membership. In the T20 World Cup, Jemima could not cross the 30-run mark even once in 4 innings, where her scores were 13, 23, 16 and 16. The Indian team could not even reach the semi-finals.

Khar Gymkhana has taken this step due to the activities of Jemima’s father Ivan Rodrigues. He is accused of organizing programs related to religious conversion. Club members alleged that Ivan used the club premises for religious activities. The members claimed that people were being inspired to convert during the programs, which violated the rules of the club.
To consider this matter, Khar Gymkhana called its annual general meeting on October 20, 2024, in which the decision was taken to cancel Jemima’s membership. Khar Gymkhana President Vivek Devnani confirmed this.
Shiv Malhotra, managing committee member of the club, said that Jemima’s father was associated with an organization called ‘Brother Manuel Ministries’ and organized 35 religious programs in the club for about one and a half years. According to club rules, religious activities were not allowed, due to which his membership was cancelled.
