Delhi: England veteran batsman Joe Root played a brilliant century in the thrilling match being played between England and Afghanistan in Lahore. 34 -year -old Root Introducing his excellent form against Afghanistan, after 2084 days i.e. 5 years 8 months and 12 days long wait in ODI format.
Earlier, he scored an unbeaten 100* against the West Indies on 14 June 2019, but after that there was no century from his bat in ODIs. In this match played in Lahore, Root used his experience and batted at one end and handled England’s innings.
He scored a brilliant century against Afghanistan with the help of 10 fours in 98 balls. This is the 17th of his ODI career and the fifth century in the ICC tournament.
