The owners of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have England’s 100-Ball Cricket League ‘The Hundred’ Franchise of Northern supercharges Has purchased a stake in. SRH confirmed the deal by beating two other contenders in this deal.

According to reports, SRH bid 100 million pounds (GBP) for this Yorkshire-Based teamFrom which it has become the sixth franchise sold by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

Only two teams survived near ECB

So far ‘The Hundred’ Six out of eight teams have received private owners.

• Sold teams: London Spirit, Oval Invinesals, Welsh Fire, Manchester Originals, Birmingham Phoenix and Northern Super Charges.
• Teams left under ECB: Trent Rockets and Southern Brave.

ECB is soon planning to sell these two teams to private owners.

With this privatization ‘The Hundred’ Will get economic stability and will open new opportunities for the exchange of cricketing expertise between the IPL and the English League, sponsorship deals and other business partnerships.

This new step of SRH will further strengthen the growing penetration of IPL franchisees in English cricket.
