Delhi: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Ajinkya Rahane completed 5000 runs in his IPL career while playing against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in an important match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. He achieved this point at the Eden Gardens Stadium on Wednesday.
Rahane becomes 9th batsman to complete 5000 runs
This experienced batsman from Mumbai has achieved this feat in 182 innings and he has become the ninth batsman to score 5000 or more runs in IPL history. Rahane started the IPL from Mumbai Indians in 2008.
KL Rahul’s name is currently recorded for scoring 5000 runs in IPL. This feat was achieved by this batsman of Delhi Capitals in just 130 innings. He made this record during IPL 2025.
Former Australian opener David Warner is second in this list, who completed 5000 runs in 135 innings. Former Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli touched this figure in 157 innings and he is the only player to complete 8000 runs in IPL history.
