KL Rahul: DC captain Akshar Patel replied, “Opening batsman.”

The fourth match of IPL 2025 is to be played on Monday, 24 March between Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants in Visakhapatnam, which is the second homeground of Delhi. Both teams have changed their captain for this season. Rishabh Pant, the captaincy of Lucknow and Akshar Patel, the captaincy of Delhi, are going to be handled.

KL Rahul will be seen representing Delhi Capitals in the 18th season of IPL. He attended the Capital Camp in Visakhapatnam a few days ago. However, Rahul’s wife Athiya Shetty is going to give birth to the first child, due to which Rahul’s availability for the first few matches is uncertain.

Akshar Patel said this about the availability of KL Rahul

Delhi Capitals captain Akshar Patel, while talking about KL Rahul’s availability in the first match during the pre-match press conference, said,

“Obviously, he has joined the team. We do not yet know whether he is available or not.”

Talking about the explosive batting of Sunrisers Hyderabad against Rajasthan Royals, Akshar Patel said that cricket has changed a bit in today’s era. The IPL has become a batsman’s game, as fours and sixes are feeling a lot. They said,

“Finally, I do not want to make things complicated. As a captain, I told the group that cricket is a game, keep it simple. A good yorker is a good yorker ball and if your examination is good, you will be fine. So I am not telling them a lot that you should do this and that. I am just asking them to keep it simple, I am just asking them to keep it simple, the whole tournament is my strategy,”
