Delhi: The 35th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is being played between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Delhi Capitals (DC). In this match, DC wicketkeeper batsman KL Rahul has taken another big record in IPL history. He has become the fastest Indian batsman to hit the fastest 200 sixes in the IPL. He is also the third fastest player in the world to achieve this feat.
Rahul completed 200 sixes in IPL
As soon as Rahul hit his first six during the match against Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, he joined this special club. He completed 200 sixes in only 129 innings. There are only Chris Gayle (69 innings) and Andre Russell (97 innings) in this list.
Earlier this record was named after Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson, who hit 200 sixes in 159 innings. Among the remaining Indian players, MS Dhoni touched the figure in 165 innings, Virat Kohli 180, Rohit Sharma 185 and Suresh Raina in 193 innings.
With this achievement of KL Rahul, he has also surpassed veteran players like AB de Villiers (137 innings) and David Warner (148 innings).
