Delhi: Delhi Capitals star batsman KL Rahul Indian Premier League (IPL) will not be able to play in the first two matches of 2025. The reason for this is being told for the birth of the first child with his wife Athiya Shetty. Rahul, who is an important player of the Indian ODI and Test team, recently announced this good news after winning the Champions Trophy.
Alyssa Heli confirmed
Australian women’s team captain Alyssa Heli, who is associated with the DC camp last week, gave information about this. Heli said during a discussion on a YouTube channel ‘ListnR Sport’ that Rahul may not be available in the first two matches. He said, “There is no Harry Brook, it will have to be seen who will come to his place. KL Rahul may not play the first two matches because he is waiting for the birth of his first child. It is very good for an experienced batsman like him to be in the team.”
KL Rahul was bought by Delhi Capitals for Rs 12 crore in the IPL 2025 auction. Earlier, he was part of Lucknow Super Giants, who released him. At the same time, Rishabh Pant, who was the captain of Delhi Capitals, was bought by Lucknow Super Giants for a record 27 crore rupees.
The first match of Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants is to be held on March 24 in Visakhapatnam, but Rahul may not play in this match.
