Delhi: Virat Kohli recently announced his retirement from Test cricket, which surprised his fans. Now Kohli will only focus his focus on ODI cricket and will continue to play for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Meanwhile, the International Cricket Council (ICC) shared a special video, in which AB de Villiers made a shocking disclosure about his former RCB fellow Virat Kohli. De Villiers admitted that initially he did not like Kohli at all.

In an interview to the ICC, De Villiers told that he did not like him much before knowing Kohli personally.

In the video, De Villiers said, “Before knowing him, I did not like Virat really. Now Virat is like a cricketing brother for me, which I started to like it very much. He is a tremendous rival on the field. Initially I did not like that even because he was very talented and very competitive, just like me.”

He further said, “We have a tremendous hunger to win and the feeling of making full contribution to our team, when someone challenges this spirit, we have an aggressive and combative form. Virat also had something similar when he used to play against us.”

The former South African veteran batsman further said, “Then I started to know him in RCB, and we became good friends. Our family also came close. We became a great partner while playing on the wicket. We understood each other well and I liked every moment of the game with them.”
