Delhi: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match to be held on May 11 in Dharamshala will now be played between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Mumbai Indians (Mi) in Ahmedabad. This decision has been taken due to the shutdown of Dharamshala Airport. This step has been taken after the military action taken by India against terrorists in Pakistan and Pakistan authorized Kashmir recently.
Gujarat Cricket Association confirmed
Gujarat Cricket Association Secretary Anil Patel informed in a conversation with PTI that the BCCI had requested to shift the match to Ahmedabad, which he accepted. He informed that Mumbai Indians (Mi) is reaching Ahmedabad today, while the travel plan of Punjab Kings (PBKS) will be known later.
Dharamshala Airport closed till 10 May
In response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, India took military action, after which Dharamshala Airport has been closed till May 10. This has made it difficult for both teams – Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals.
Doubt on the travel plan of teams
Now the question is how both teams will get out of Dharamshala, because Chandigarh Airport is also closed. In such a situation, the teams will have to find an alternative way to reach Delhi.
Delhi Capitals also match on May 11
Delhi Capitals (DC) also have to play their domestic match against Gujarat Titans (GT) on 11 May. A Punjab Kings official said that he has not received any official information from BCCI so far. He said, “We cannot plan the journey until we get complete information.”
